An Overview of Bowling & Club House Activity by Scottish Government COVID Protection Levels.

KEY POINTS

  • The table below provides a summary of the restrictions for each COVID protection level across Scotland and how this relates to bowling clubs.
  • A list of Local Authority protection levels is provided on the Scottish Government website, alongside details of the general restrictions for each level.
  • There may be further travel restriction per level in place that clubs and players should be aware of: Coronavirus (COVID19): guidance on travel and transport.
  • Clubs and players should read and understand the Bowls Scotland Return to the Green COVID-19 Guidance 2021
  • Reminder that physical distancing and good hygiene must always be maintained.
  • Players can only be part of one bowling bubble per day and there MUST be no crossover between bowling bubbles at any level.
  • Clubs should keep a record of everyone at the club as per Scottish Government Test and Protect requirements.

CONTRACTORS & STAFF Clubs must ensure that Scottish Government guidance on workforce planning in sport & leisure facilities is followed for contractors and staff undertaking essential maintenance and ensure existing health and safety advice is maintained and aligned.  This should be detailed in the risk assessment.
EXTERNAL

ORGANISATIONS

All clubs should check with their local authority as to which activities are permitted for use of the premises at this time by an external organisation. As facility operator it is the responsibility of the club to ensure any external organisation follows all guidance in place for accessing indoor and outdoor sport and leisure facilities. This includes providing contact details for Test and Protect and adhering to good hygiene, household rules and physical distancing.

Clubs should risk assess before hosting any external organisations and ensure the organisation/group is aware of their responsibilities. We recommend the club have access to the external organisations risk assessment and main contact details. More information can be found here:
